SCHOOL PHILOSOPHY

“Teach a child to choose the right path, and when he is older he will remain upon it.”  Living Bible.  “True education means more than the perusal of a certain course of study.  It means more than preparation for the life that now is.  It has to do with the whole being, and the whole period of existence possible to man.  It is the harmonious development of the physical, the mental, and the spiritual powers.  It prepares the student for the joy of service in this world, and for the higher joy of wider service in the world to come.”  Education, p. 13

MISSION STATEMENT

It is the mission of the Bethel SDA Church School to provide a Christ centered curriculum of academic excellence, which promotes the development of the body, mind and soul.  It is the goal of this school to enhance the spiritual experience of the church family as well as to provide a nurturing of spiritual values in the community at large.

Bethel Seventh-day Adventist Church School admits students of any race, color, gender, or national/ethnic origin to all the rights, privileges, programs, and activities generally accorded or made available to students at the school.  It does not discriminate on the basis of race, color, gender, or national/ethnic origin in administration of its educational policies, admission policies, scholarship and loan programs, or other school-administered programs.

PARENT-TEACHER CONNECTION

Our school uses Jupiter Ed which is an all-in-one center for students, parents, and teachers.  Jupiter Ed achieves all the learning digitally that takes place in the classroom.

  • Helps students learn more and learn faster with interactive, engaging content, and stay on top of their homework.

  • Helps parents stay informed and involved in their children’s education

  • Helps teachers monitor their student’s progress, collaborate on curriculum, and spend less time on grading and data entry.

Our school will be using Seesaw.  Seesaw creates a powerful learning loop between students, teachers, and families.

Students show learning!  Students use built in note tools to capture what they know in digital portfolio.  Students explore a variety of powerful and intuitive tools (like draw +record, collage, video, and more!) to show what they know in the way that works best for them.

Families Connect!  Families gain a window into their student's learning and engage with school happenings.
